Message from the Superintendent

Greetings, TV Staff, Students, and Families! I hope your summer has been full of great times with memories to cherish. Students have begun reappearing on campus as fall sports seasons get underway and band camp begins, and it’s exciting to see their hard work, dedication, and potential as we begin a new year!

Our summer team has been hard at work prepping for a brand-new school year to provide the very best learning environments for our students. Classrooms have been thoroughly cleaned, floors waxed, fresh coats of paint applied, and mechanics have our school buses in tip-top shape to transport students. Athletic fields are ready for competition, and our grounds crew has our campus well-maintained. Numerous improvements have been made, including renovations to the athletic facility, new signage, and the IT department has completed several technology upgrades, let alone the massive undertaking of moving all grade 2-12 classrooms and school belongings as we transition to new facilities. We again thank the numerous community members, students, sports teams, and staff who volunteered in early June to help us move boxes, furniture, and district inventory across the district as we closed both the Intermediate and Middle School facilities. Thank you!

We are excited to welcome our students and families back for the 2023-2024 school year as we open the brand new Middle-High School, welcome our grade 2–6 students to the new, temporary TV Elementary School, and continue construction on the old middle school to serve as the new PK-6 Elementary School, on schedule to open August 2024. Please mark your calendars and join us for the Back to School Blast, scheduled for August 25th from 4-6 pm, and the grand opening and open house of the new Middle-High School scheduled for August 31st at 6:30 pm!

We are on track to meet the established goals of the District Master Plan, which highlights the district's overarching goals, as well as the action steps to meet the goals. This plan will drive district initiatives and operations over the next three years.  I encourage you to take a look at the plan and see what we have in the works, and I'm thankful for strong community support as we work together to serve TV students best.

Best wishes to all of our students and staff for a fantastic school year ahead, and I encourage each student to take full advantage of every opportunity this year to get involved and expand their horizons to reach their full potential. Our district has so much to be proud of, but I believe our best days are still ahead. Please reach out at any time if there is anything I can do to assist you!

Sincerely,
